I concur. I purchased two of these locks myself. Neither one of them worked as advertized.

I’m so sorry to hear about your unfortunate experience! That was definitely not our intention at all. We really appreciate your feedback and hope you can give us another chance to make it right! I’d also like to take the chance to comment on some of your points…
Zip ties: I agree! The zip ties are definitely not the best solution and that’s why we are developing a more robust universal adapter that will be easier to install and more universal. When we used two zip ties on both ends of the lock we weren’t able to see the slipping you’re referring to after 150 miles of use. But of course, this needs to get better and we’re on it! 🙂
Paint quality: We have already contacted our factory to make sure all new products being manufactured have a more consist and durable paint coating. We’re even considering powder coating but we’re just concerned about coating thickness.
Customer service: Absolutely agree! We need to get to the point where we have an emergency line so we can support whenever something doesn’t work as planned. Thanks to your feedback, we will immediately prepare a plan in place to have technical customer support around the clock.
Return Process: Yes, the current one is not the most ideal right now and we need to change the addressing process to ensure it is clear where it shall go. We have a technician in New York that helps us with troubleshooting returns with quick turn arounds. We will change this to have ship to a LINKA address. We’re trying to get to a point where a return process is similar to the Apple way and hopefully that can allow us to provide a better customer experience.
Phoneless Access Code: The user experience for this may be a bit challenging as its main intention is to operate in the case of emergency. We need to provide better instructional videos here to make sure everything works as planned when you need it most.
Warranty: We definitely provide a 1 year warranty with our product. Thanks to your feedback, on our next production orders, we will work on including that warranty document directly in the box. We are launching a brand new website next week which offers much better communication, instructions and details before you purchase including the warranty info as well. 🙂
