RVLock Keyless Entry Handle Review | RV Security & Safety | Mortons on the Move

RVLock Keyless Entry Handle Review | RV Security & Safety | Mortons on the Move
We recently made an RV security upgrade to our RV. We replaced our fifthwheel entry door handle with the RVLock Keyless Entry Handle. Installation was easy and we love the keyless entry locking and unlocking functionality. The numeric keypad gets used a lot, espeically when we go for a quick bike ride around the campground or make a trip to the pool and don’t want to bring our keys with us. We are no longer running back to the RV to lock the door manually, just takes the press of a button!
We also updated keyed alike baggage door latches so we don’t have to have multiple keys on our keyrings. A lot of these rv baggage doors have the same CH751 locks on them so your neighbor’s key may open your lock. with our updated rv locks, we feel like we have a higher security level and as a bonus it upgraded the look of our 2005 RV’s entry door.
– Convenient wireless fob (add up to 10 fobs)

Amanda Wanda says:

Thanks for the info. A key fob is definitely convenient.

Ben W says:

One issue I have is that the fob only locks and unlocks the deadbolt. It does not lock the latch, as is the current design. whats the point of having a fob if you have to turn the key to unlock the main latch?

Ron S says:

Appreciate this video, thanks for making and sharing it ::)) I found your site from the Fl. RV Show site, will you be at the show this coming weekend in Ft. Myers? Just subscribed to your channel………..

based on your review we installed the rvlock and love it, thanks for all you do

From Paris To Roam says:

We love our RV Lock. It was our first purchase for the RV and it has come in handy so many times.

Rod Anderson says:

Our 2015 Lifestyle 5th wheel came with one of these from the factory….love it! Didn’t know they had models for baggage/basement doors. Will look into those. Thanks!

Gary Boyd says:

A bit concerned about that plastic backing plate. You had metal previously.

James Borsheim says:

If the batteries are shorted out or fail, is the default set to be “LOCKED” … tia, Jim

LetsRV says:

I like your presentation of the RV Lock. I have the same lock that I won in a give away that the Freedom Theory did. I’m assuming they are the ones you saw it on. You were spot on about the handle inside. I think that’s the weakest link. We love it though. With kids it makes it easy and you don’t need so many sets of keys.

Matt Langstraaat says:

I have one, it’s over loud, Stupid! Did I mention everyone in the park knows when you get home or leave… freaking loud and annoying…

Richard M says:

One of the first things I installed. I used barrel locks for the compartment instead of the ones from RV Lock. You should mention that you want to keep at least one of the keys always outside of the RV in case the battery dies…

Wandering Sauvey's says:

Not so sure I would call it security, but more convenience. As we sadly found out, a perp just breaks the window, reaches in and unlocks from the inside. The main reason I dislike the window in our entry door. Good review and if I had the extra $$, I’d consider one (or two) myself.

Julie H says:

Does it give you a warning when the batteries are low? If the batteries are low, does it automatically lock or unlock?
