August Smart Lock Review + August Doorbell Cam Review + August Smart Keypad Review. The name says it all. In this video, we cover everything you need to know about all the August smart home products, including the August Connect. Overall, we are big fans of the August smart lock. It’s easy to install, the app is easy to use and some of the features are pretty awesome. The auto-unlocking geofencing feature is super convenient and it’s nice to be able to send virtual keys to friends and family. The August Smart Keypad is also nice to have. I like being able to issue special codes to people and the one-touch locking system is nice to have when your hands are full. The August Connect acts as a WiFi bridge so you can control the smart lock remotely. Or you can get the August Doorbell Cam which can also act as that wi fi bridge for the smartlock. Overall, the video doorbell is pretty solid – good video quality, 140 degree wide angle lens and all kinds of notifications. The best thing is that smart door lock and doorbell cam can be used in conjunction. In fact, you can actually lock or unlock the door right from the video doorbell screen within the august mobile app. Overall, we think August belongs on the list for Best Smart Lock 2017 and Best Video Doorbell 2017.
